On Thursday, May 12, 2016 Kaylee Bonamici (Gr. 7) was presented a first place award by Bishop Edward M. Grosz for her Vocation Contest Entry, the theme this year was " Jesus Forgives", Marie Rhodes (Gr. 8) received honorable mention.

The 7th graders at St. John the Baptist School, Alden NY took some time to spend with their classroom buddies in Kindergarten. The older kids had a great time reading to the younger ones.

Grade 8 Spring Retreat

On Monday, May 16th the 8th Grade Class at St. John the Baptist School spent the day on retreat. Father Joseph Wolf pastor of St. Margaret's and Holy Spirit in Buffalo guided the class through a day of prayer and community building experiences. The theme of the day was; Sharing your faith with others. The day ended with the celebration of Mass.

Sports Night

On Friday, May 6, 2016, St. John the Baptist School celebrated their annual Sports Night. This night was filled with awards, trophies and t-shirts for star athletes.  We would like to thank all the parents for making their child's sport a success with your involvement  in getting them to practices and games.  Thank you to Mr. Bill Rhodes and Mrs. Jeanie Rhodes for their dedication in making the sports program a huge success.

St. John's Soccer - Unbelievable Win!

We would like to congratulate St. John the Baptist School's Soccer team on there amazing game on Thursday, May 5th against St. Mary's Elementary with a score of 13-0. This was the greatest win in the history of St. John's Soccer.  Thank you to Mr. Ken Kujawa and Ms. Tabatha Hartz for their dedication to helping make St. John's Soccer team a success.
